Glass Garden Decor

Glass Garden Decor

Add some light and movement to your garden with glass garden decor pieces like totems, bird feeders and flowers made from thrift shop finds.

Last weekend, there was a little sale just around the corner. This lady was selling her glass garden ornaments. Of course we snatched one up as soon as we could. It’s made from dollar store pieces, stacked and siliconed together. She said she got her inspiration from Pinterest. So I did some searching and found that many of my blogging buddies have already found out how to do these themselves.

I chose this blue and white tower which stands about 2 feet high and is nestled in with the sedum and columbine in the back border.

Mine is made from clear glass with blue accents. The creator of this piece ingeniously added blue glass beads inside the cups she used. But you can use coloured glass too like Juxtapose Jane did.

Fancy Glass Feeders is a great page on Facebook filled with some great ideas for using old glass pieces to create some amazing bird feeders.

Or you could make glass garden balls to catch the light and attract the birds. This is super easy and fun to do and all the instructions can be found on The Empress of Dirt’s page:

Melissa, The Empress of Dirt, even shows you how to make these awesome flowers from dishes and plates.

These simple projects will add so much charm and life to your garden. All you need is some old glass pieces and some waterproof silicone which you can find at pretty much any hardware store.
